Taupo is famous for its winter spawning runs up rivers such as the Tongariro, Tauranga Taupo and Waitahanui.  We have a few more places to try and techniques most New Zealand fly fishing guides don't offer.

If you want somewhere different we can take you for a day to one of Rotorua's trophy lakes where huge rainbows come in to spawn on the sandy beaches.

When the winter fishing is hot its hot!!  The rainbows are strong and in great condition, and there is always the chance of landing a big brownie if you know where to look and how to approach them.

By booking more than one day you have more options for us to show you more.  Some clients stay on in Taupo or Turangi and fish for themselves applying the local knowledge, skills and tips we have shown them. 

Whatever your goals, we'll do our best to give you that bit more than you've experienced before with your fishing.  Where possible we'll also capture your memories on film, and sometimes if possible we'll even video you to show your friends and family the adventure you've had.
